The Opportunity

Sera Global has a structured internship program for undergraduates in which we seek out energetic and talented individuals for our seasonal internship programs across our global offices. We are currently launching a process to hire a Summer Analyst within our Toronto office with a start date in May 2022.

 

As part of Sera Global’s transaction teams, interns will be assigned a variety of analytical tasks associated with mergers and acquisitions (M&A), debt and equity financings, private capital advisory and other financial advisory assignments. Through the program, successful interns are able to hone their analytical skills and gain exposure to some of the most interesting and leading-edge transactions that have drastic impacts on organizations.

 

The Role

As a Summer Analyst, you will be expected to:

• Work within a deal team under the overall direction of a senior supervisor;

• Develop an understanding of Sera Global’s product offerings;

• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the industries that our clients operate within, with a particular focus on real estate markets;

• Research and analyze clients’ financial situations, industry and market data and M&A opportunities;

• Assist with the valuation of assets and companies (both public and private companies);

• Assist with complex financial modeling;

• Prepare external client proposals and presentations, marketing materials, and internal memos.

Requirements

• Completing an undergraduate degree with a strong emphasis on math, finance or commerce along with a track record of outstanding academic achievement. Expected graduation date of either Fall 2023 or Spring 2024

• Proven analytical and financial modeling skills, including a strong proficiency with MS Excel

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Self-motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail

• Demonstrated initiative and the ability to play a key role as a team member in a fast-paced and challenging work environment

• Desire to learn and eagerness to make a meaningful contribution to the team environment at Sera Global
